Please join us at ASIS North Texas Chapter Meeting on Thursday, July 7th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

This meeting will be held at the DFW Public Safety Building, where we will hear from speaker Sheyi Ogunleye about what is new with DFW Airport & Security.

As the Assistant Vice President of Airport Security, Sheyi serves as DFW's Airport Security coordinator in accordance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations. He assists in the overall planning of Airport public safety functions and directs civilian security, tactical communications, compliance, and Access DFW credentialing activities to ensure they support the Board's mission, strategic imperatives and federal statutes.


Sheyi has more than 27 years of aviation operation and security experience. He began his career with Southwest Airlines in 1995, growing his career from ramp agent to Ops agent, and then supervisor. In April of 2003, he joined the TSA as a Security Manager in Oakland California, later advancing into the Customer Support role, then serving as the TSA Stakeholder Manager and FEMA Region IX representative. In 2010, Sheyi joined the TSA operations at the San Francisco International Airport as the Deputy Assistant Federal Security Director for Screening Operations, responsible for ensuring contractor adherence to Federal screening regulations. In 2012, he was selected as the Federal Security Director for Screening operations at the Bush Intercontinental airport (IAH), a role he served in until he was appointed as the TSA’s Attaché and Representative to West Africa, responsible for serving as the lead TSA advisor to foreign governments and US Ambassadors across 13 countries.


Sheyi holds a degree in mathematics and statistics from The Polytechnic in Ibadan, Nigeria, a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University in Hayward, California, and a Key Executive Leadership Program Certificate from American University in Washington D.C.
